It is conscious that during the last three decades, the independent and effective judiciary has become a need of the people. It is due to legal awakening, public interest litigations, changing attitude of public to resolve their disputes through judicial verdict and socio-economic revolution through judicial legislation etc. On account of it, the positions connected with the administration of justice, like that of Judges, Magistrates, Advocates Public Prosecutors and law officers, have also increase. For these positions, a "Professional Degree of Law" is essential, which can only be obtained from the Law Colleges after pursuing regular course of study prescribed by respective universities in consonance with the policies and decisions of the Bar Council of India.Since independence of India, the role of law in the governance of the country has increasingly been realized.
